Study Time

Wed Nov 1, 2006, 10:21 PM
Upon the completion of what was the third (of fifty-six) pages of Quantitative Statistics for my exam tomorrow, i came to two realizations. One, that i now fully understand how a person can charge fifty bucks on eBay for Zelda on Nintendo 64 in the year 2006 (thanks for ruining my study, Goldeneye). And two, that no matter how hard you try, three things will always distract you from the highly important tasks at hand.

- British secret agents
- Any form of creative hobby
- The furry substance forming under ones bed

The first and last are related in a hilarious incident involving lubricant, a hockey stick and my girlfriend. And for everyone that just jolted back in disgust, it was completely non-sexual.

You sick, sick people.

See my desk is for school-work. Its roughly two meters wide, and slightly less than one meter deep. Thank y_o_u ruler. It contains two computer monitors (on in each corner), two keyboards and two mice. It is also home to my various stationary. So when i sit down to learn an entire semester of math in one day, i find myself looking at either my PC or my iMac.

Now two things usually happen. I am either drawn to my computer (as shown below), or find myself rushing off to complete Aztec in 007 agent mode (yeah, my baby still works, even after having a possum decay on it for what i can only assume to be 3 months). If neither of these things happen, we can safely assume i have been kidnapped, drugged, or am otherwise defying laws of time and space.

I have provided you with a flow chart for ease of understanding-ness.

iMac.

which leads to
|-----------> A vicious circle

Now the things is, this all happens within the space of about ten minutes. But leads to about two hours of time wasted (well, not really wasted =P). And then one realizes what just happened. Looks at math work needed to be done, shakes head, picks up pen, and goes and plays N64.

Damn you bond. Damn you to hell.

edit. was in scraps. but too big. and i wanted all of you to witness the exceptionally bad position i am in =P. Appologies for all spelling mistakes.
